i was selling some scyths that seemed good but are only white. i was told that unless an item is green, gold, or purple you should just sell to a merchant. those items are blue and white weapons. is this true?

yup whites are merchant food as they have no damage mod and are not inscribable so therefore are worthless. Blues can just be IDed and sold for a little more to the merch and most of the time merch purples too since they have non max damage mods, but if theyre inscribable you can sell them for a small price. Greens and golds are what people look for mostly.
